Barbara D. Bartlik, MD, attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York City, NY, and received her medical degree in 1981. Then, she served her internship and psychiatry residency at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York (1981-1985). Furthermore, she conducted a research fellowship at the same teaching venue (1985-1987). In addition, Dr. Bartlik received board certification in psychiatry (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology), integrative medicine (American Board of Physician Specialties), and sexology (American Board of Sexology). Moreover, she studied neurology with Dr. Oliver Sacks and was an associate in the practice of the late sex therapy pioneer, Helen Singer Kaplan. In addition to her medical degree, she holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Hartford (1977). Over the years, she was awarded with numerous honors and recognitions, including Castle Connolly Top Doctors Award, the New York Women’s Agenda President’s Award, the WMANYC Young Woman Achiever Award, and the Women’s Medical Association of New York City Laughlin Fellowship.
